Evaluation
Question 6

What have you learnt about technologies from the process of constructing this product?

When making my magazine front cover and contents page I used Photoshop, however when creating my double page spread I used Microsoft Publisher. Having recent experience with the Photoshop I knew the basic skills, however I wanted to make my images to look 'unnatural' (hence the leopard print lips and nails). Making the lips leopard print took a lot of time and patience. This is a process of how I did it:

First I inserted my chosen front cover image onto a new
Photoshop page; I chose the image where my model is
looking straight into the camera engaging the audience.

I then duplicated the layer of my image.

I added a blue leopard print image taken from Google onto the
lips of my top layer, making sure the image fully covered my models lips.

I then moved the layer with the leopard print image in between
the two layers of my model. I then hid the two bottom layers,
and then using the eraser tool I erased the lips of my model.

By making the other layers appear the lips then become leopard
print. I then lowered the capacity of the leopard print in order for
them to look more natural.

After I had lowered the capacity I merged all visible layers.

I then used the blur tool to blur the edges of the lips to the face,
making it look more natural.

This is the final product of the lips.

This is the process of how I edited my models skin in order for it to look clearer:

By knowing how to edit my images on Photoshop it helped me create the style of magazine I wanted to. By making the images look unusual and appealing to my audience.
